The Punjab police chief further ordered the formulation of an effective patrolling strategy to curb the activities of fraudsters, pickpockets and other criminal elements. He said Police Response Units, along with other patrolling teams, had been directed to maintain continuous surveillance and patrolling in and around cattle markets so citizens could purchase sacrificial animals without fear or inconvenience.
