HEC opens applications for scholarships at top 100 US universities
HEC has opened applications for fully funded PhD scholarships for Pakistani students under the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Project. Funding covers tuition, stipend and health insurance for top 50 US universities; up to $12,000/year for ranks 51–100. Apply by April 30, 2026.

ISLAMABAD: Higher Education Commission has opened applications for fully funded PhD scholarships under the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Project, offering Pakistani students an opportunity to study at leading universities in the United States.
According to the announcement, the scholarships are available for candidates securing admission to US universities ranked among the top 100 in the QS World University Rankings.
Students admitted to universities placed in the top 50 will receive full financial support, including tuition fees, stipend and health insurance. Those admitted to institutions ranked between 51 and 100 will be given up to $12,000 per year in tuition assistance along with stipend and health insurance.
The programme is aimed at strengthening research capacity and higher education standards in Pakistan by supporting scholars at internationally ranked academic institutions.
Applications can be submitted through the official scholarship portal until April 30, 2026. The scheme is part of the broader US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Project launched to expand academic collaboration and create more opportunities for Pakistani students and researchers.
