TIMARGARA: In a brutal instance of corporal punishment, a government primary school teacher in the remote Osherai Dara area of Upper Dir, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, allegedly broke both arms of a fifth-grade student.

The victim, identified as Adnan Khan, is a student at Government Primary School Osherai Dara Sadiqa Banda Bela. According to police reports, the accused teacher, Sultan Nabi, severely beat the child for failing to complete his homework. The violence left the young student with significant injuries, including fractures to both his arms.

The incident gained national attention after disturbing images and video footage of the child's injuries went viral on social media, sparking widespread public outrage and calls for immediate legal action. Authorities in Upper Dir are currently investigating the assault.
