PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killed two wanted terrorists in a late-night intelligence-based operation near the Regi Northern Bypass in Peshawar, police said on Wednesday.
According to the details shared by police, the operation was carried out after the CTD received a tip-off about the presence of the suspects in the area. Acting on that information, personnel established an ambush point near the bypass.
Police said an exchange of fire then took place between CTD officials and the militants during the operation. As a result of the gun battle, two terrorists were killed.
The deceased were identified as Abbas and Usman, according to officials.
Officials said both men were wanted and had been involved in the martyrdom of CTD Constable Sanaullah.
