Intermediate annual exams to begin on April 29

KARACHI: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced that the first phase of the annual intermediate examinations for 2026 will start on April 29.

According to the board, admit cards have already been dispatched to the addresses of private candidates registered in Intermediate Part-I, Part-II and combined Part I & II.

BIEK said the examinations will cover candidates from several academic groups, including Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Science General, Arts (Regular), Home Economics and Arts Private.

Admit cards sent to private candidates

The board said private candidates enrolled in the relevant categories should receive their admit cards at their registered addresses ahead of the examinations.

It advised candidates who do not receive their admit cards by April 25 to collect duplicate copies from the concerned section at the board office from April 27.

Documents required for duplicate admit cards

Board officials said candidates applying for duplicate admit cards will be required to present specific documents at the time of collection.

These include their examination form and fee payment receipt, registration card or proof that registration documents were submitted, as well as a photocopy of their matriculation marks sheet.

The announcement applies to private candidates appearing in the first phase of the annual intermediate examinations for 2026 under BIEK.

The board’s notice sets out both the examination start date and the procedure for candidates who may face delays in receiving their admit cards through post.

Students registered in Intermediate Part-I, Part-II and combined Part I & II in the listed groups have been asked to ensure they have the required documents if they need to obtain duplicate admit cards from the board office.

BIEK’s latest update is aimed at facilitating candidates before the commencement of the annual examination cycle later this month.
