Saudi Arabia launches one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has introduced a multiple-entry Umrah visa that remains valid for one year from the date of issuance, allowing pilgrims to enter the kingdom more than once within that period, according to the state-run Saudi Press Agency.

Under the new arrangement, pilgrims can stay in Saudi Arabia for a combined period of up to 90 days in a year. Each trip will require the purchase of a service package through an approved provider listed on the Nusuk platform, which offers Umrah packages across different price tiers. The length of those packages must not exceed the number of days still available on the visa.

The Saudi Ministry of Haj and Umrah has also linked entry to advance approval through the Nusuk application. According to the SPA report, pilgrims must obtain an Umrah permit on the app before arrival. The visa will be deactivated after each departure and reactivated for a later visit once the required regulations are met.

The visa will not be available during the Haj season, from the first of Ziqad until the 13th of Zilhaj. The SPA said the Haj ministry "affirmed that the visa enhances flexibility in planning visits and supports the integration of digital and operational services throughout the pilgrim’s journey" Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Statistics has said nearly 43 million pilgrims performed Umrah in 2025.
