Murree administration steps up monitoring of board examination centres

MURREE: The district administration in Murree has increased oversight of examination centres during the ongoing board examinations in an effort to maintain transparency and curb cheating.

According to the administration, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Kamran Sagheer visited Government Boys High School Murree, where he reviewed arrangements for Class IX and X examinations. During the visit, he inspected examination halls, checked seating plans and assessed the performance of examination staff.

Officials said the visit was aimed at ensuring that anti-cheating measures are being implemented effectively and that the examination process remains fair for students appearing in the papers.

Inspection of exam arrangements

During his inspection, Kamran Sagheer directed the relevant officials to strictly enforce steps intended to prevent unfair means in the examinations. He also examined the overall management of the centre, including how staff were carrying out their assigned duties.

The additional deputy commissioner general reviewed security arrangements at the school as well. This included checking entry and exit points, the deployment of security personnel and the surveillance system in place at the examination centre.

He instructed the concerned authorities that the safety of students must be ensured at all costs while the examinations continue.

Discipline and staff attendance reviewed

As part of the visit, the officer also checked the attendance of both teaching and non-teaching staff posted at the institution. The administration said he expressed satisfaction over the overall discipline observed at the school.

The monitoring comes as board examinations for secondary classes continue, with the district administration focusing on arrangements at centres to ensure that the process is conducted in an orderly and transparent manner.

Officials said the inspection covered both examination management and security preparedness, reflecting the administration’s emphasis on fair conduct and student safety during the ongoing Class IX and X examinations in Murree.
