Pakistan braces for possible internet slowdown during cable maintenance

Transworld, one of Pakistan’s largest internet service providers, has announced scheduled maintenance on its submarine cable system in coordination with international partners, warning that users across the country may experience connectivity issues during the process.

The company said the work is part of routine infrastructure maintenance and shared the update with customers ahead of the planned activity.

According to the announcement, the maintenance will begin on April 9 at 6:30 pm and continue until April 13 at 5:00 am, spanning several days in April.

Although Transworld has not detailed the exact extent of the disruption, maintenance on submarine cable systems often affects internet performance and can result in slower speeds or temporary outages.

Users may face interruptions during the maintenance window as work continues on international connectivity infrastructure.
