Balochistan sets Iranian petrol price at Rs280 per litre
The Balochistan government has fixed the price of Iranian petrol at Rs280 per litre and warned of legal action against overcharging. Officials said the fuel will only be sold within the province.

QUETTA: The Balochistan government on Saturday fixed the price of Iranian smuggled petrol at Rs280 per litre and warned that anyone selling it above this rate would face strict legal action.
Officials said the decision was made during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti. The government emphasised that Iranian petrol is to be sold only within the province and cannot be transported to other areas.
Kalat Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Durrani said authorities would monitor sales closely to ensure compliance. He added that selling Iranian petrol at the federal government’s imported petrol rates had no justification.
The move follows reports that some traders had increased prices to between Rs300 and Rs360 per litre after the federal government raised rates for imported petroleum. Authorities said inspections and legal action against violators would begin immediately.
