Sehar Hayat speaks out on abuse, marriage, and divorce claims
Sehar Hayat speaks out about her troubled marriage to Sami Rasheed, detailing allegations of abuse and financial misrepresentation. Her public statement has garnered support from fellow influencers.

TikTokers Sehar Hayat and Sami Rasheed had a widely discussed wedding that drew attention online, with many followers viewing them as an ideal couple. However, their marriage ended soon after the birth of their daughter, and their separation has continued to play out publicly, with both sides making allegations against each other.
Sami Rasheed recently claimed that Sehar sought khula because she did not want to live with or interact with his family, describing her reasons for ending the marriage as minor. Sehar has now responded with her own account, explaining what she says she experienced during the marriage and why she decided to leave despite having recently given birth.
In a statement shared on social media, Sehar alleged that she was repeatedly abused by Sami in front of his family and that no one intervened. She said he used insulting language against her, including questioning her character, and claimed that the abuse continued throughout the marriage.
She further alleged that he physically assaulted her when she was eight months pregnant with their daughter. According to Sehar, she endured the situation for a long time before finally deciding to speak about it publicly.
Sehar also made claims about financial misrepresentation related to her haq mehr. She said she had initially been promised a haq mehr of Rs20 million, but at the time of the nikkah, she was asked to let the cleric write Rs500,000 instead while announcing Rs5 million publicly on the microphone.
According to her, she accepted the compromise because she wanted the marriage to go ahead and hoped it would become stable over time. She said the relationship remained toxic and that she was subjected to repeated mistreatment and verbal abuse.
Following her statement, several fellow influencers publicly showed support for her. Romaisa Khan wrote that she was sending her strength, while Ali Arif and Bushra Iqbal also shared messages of support and good wishes.
Ali Arif also appeared to support Sehar’s claim regarding the haq mehr issue.
