A TikToker, Samira Rajput, was tragically poisoned to death in Ghotki over a marriage dispute, leading to the arrest of two men. The suspects, Ali Raza Rajput and Muhammad Imran Rajput, were taken into custody following the discovery of Samira’s body at her residence in Bhutta Mohalla.
Samira’s sister, Shehla Rajput, filed the FIR, claiming that both men had repeatedly pressured Samira to marry her 17-year-old daughter, Shabana, to one of them. Samira had reportedly rejected their proposal several times. After separating from her husband, Samira had been living alone with her daughter. The initial medical report indicated that the poison was administered through drinking water.
In a recent video, Samira had warned that if anything happened to her, the suspects would be responsible. Her husband, Ali Hassan, claimed he had not divorced her and expressed frustration over the delay in filing the FIR.
The suspects were reportedly attempting to bury Samira’s body when police intervened and transferred it to the hospital for a postmortem. Both Samira’s daughter and the police pointed to the same motives for the murder. The FIR includes charges under sections 302, 337, and 452 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
