Resham hits back after Deedar’s Eid show remarks

Resham has responded sharply to recent criticism from fellow film actor Deedar, reopening a public exchange between two names long associated with Pakistan’s film industry. The issue surfaced after Deedar, during an Eid show, accused Resham of being a negative influence and claimed she had damaged several lives and homes.

Deedar also said she had a bitter personal experience with Resham and warned those close to her to remain cautious. Her remarks drew attention online and led to a direct response from Resham in a later appearance on Drive with Shazia Zeeshan.

During the interview, Resham was asked about claims that people were jealous of her and about accusations that she destroys homes, carries negativity, and is no longer relevant. In response, she rejected those suggestions and said her critics were envious of her “Langar” because they could not afford it.

She also questioned Deedar’s standing and said, “My time hasn’t passed yet; in fact, they are jealous of my ‘Langar’ because they can’t afford it. And what is her recognition? Her sister is her claim to fame. A person who is dancing day and night for thirty years—but what is her identity? Her sister. It’s unfortunate and don’t even mention her name, you should mention names who have achieved something in life. Also, a good person will always speak good about you; a bad person will only spew venom.”

The exchange has added to the attention around both actors, with viewers now revisiting Deedar’s original remarks and Resham’s response. The public back-and-forth has once again placed their long-running tensions in the spotlight.
