Teenager with disabilities gang raped, all four suspects arrested

RAWALPINDI: An 18-year-old boy with hearing and speech impairments was allegedly gang-raped by four men in the Garja area within the limits of Dhamial Police Station, with police confirming that all suspects have been taken into custody and a case has been registered.

According to officials, the victim’s father stated in the FIR that his deaf and mute son had gone missing from home. After searching for him, he later saw the boy returning through a nearby street.

The victim broke down on seeing his father and, through gestures, conveyed that a man identified as Hamza, along with three others, had assaulted him. He also showed a mobile phone image of another suspect, Abdullah, indicating his alleged involvement.

Police said that soon after, Abdullah’s father reached the complainant’s home and allegedly tried to pressure the family into settling the matter and avoiding legal action.

The complainant has sought strict punishment for those responsible. Following the report, Rawalpindi City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani directed immediate action, resulting in the arrest of all four suspects. Saddar SP Anum Sher confirmed that the victim has undergone a medical examination.
