Two Pakistan Coast Guards personnel were killed and another injured in an armed attack on a check post in Jiwani, Gwadar district. Security forces have launched an operation to find the attackers, who fled the scene.

GWADAR: Two personnel of the Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) lost their lives and another was injured following an armed assault on a security check post in the Panowan area of Jiwani, Gwadar district, on Sunday.
According to Gwadar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Atta-ur-Rehman Tareen, the incident occurred when unidentified assailants riding motorcycles opened fire with automatic weapons at the PCG check post. The attack resulted in the immediate martyrdom of two coast guards who were on duty, while a third sustained injuries.
SSP Tareen confirmed, “Two coast guards were martyred on the spot after receiving multiple bullet injuries, while another was injured.” He added that the attackers managed to flee the scene after the shooting.
Following the incident, police and security forces promptly arrived at the location. The bodies of the deceased and the injured personnel were transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention and necessary procedures.
Security forces have since initiated a combing operation in the area to locate and apprehend those responsible for the attack. As of the latest reports, no group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
The attack highlights ongoing security challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in the region. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and pursuing those involved in such acts of violence.
