Nadra issues warning over fake website targeting citizens

ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has issued an alert to the public regarding a fraudulent website that is impersonating its official online portal in an attempt to deceive users.

According to Nadra, the fake website closely resembles the authority’s legitimate portal and is being used to mislead citizens and potentially defraud them. The authority emphasized that this counterfeit site is not affiliated with Nadra in any way and urged the public to exercise caution when accessing online services related to national identity documentation.

Nadra has advised citizens to always verify the authenticity of the website before entering any personal information. The authority further stated that its official online services are only available through its verified website and that users should avoid clicking on suspicious links or providing sensitive data to unverified platforms.

The warning comes as part of Nadra’s ongoing efforts to protect citizens from online scams and identity theft. The authority reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the personal information of Pakistani citizens and encouraged the public to report any suspicious websites or activities to the relevant authorities.

Nadra also highlighted the importance of digital security and urged users to remain vigilant against cyber threats, especially those that exploit the trust placed in official government platforms.
