Zohran Mamdani hosts iftar for pro-Palestine activist Mahmoud Khalil on anniversary of his detention

New York: New York State Assembly member Zohran Mamdani hosted an iftar in honour of pro-Palestine activist Mahmoud Khalil on the first anniversary of Khalil's detention by Israeli authorities. The gathering took place on Monday and was attended by several members of the Palestinian community, as well as supporters of the Palestinian cause.

According to details, Khalil, who is a prominent Palestinian activist, was detained by Israeli forces last year. The iftar was organised to mark the anniversary of his detention and to show solidarity with him and the broader Palestinian community. The event was also attended by Khalil's family members.
