Iran’s military X account updates have the internet buzzing — and admiring their grit

Iran’s official X military account, Iran Military Monitor, has decided that if there is going to be a war, there is also going to be a comment section.

And it is not holding back.

While missiles and counterstrikes dominate global headlines, Iran’s military social media feed has turned into an unfiltered account of with millions of spectators.

One post showing footage of Donald Trump saluting US troops who died as Iran defended itself, wrote: “Nice show. But what happened to the hundreds of other bodies?” It ended with #SendBarron, the now viral hashtag suggesting political leaders’ children should share the risks of war.

It also reposted an interview of Associate Professor, Faculty of World Studies, University of Tehran with Bloomberg in which he bravely says on live TV: "Iran is dealing with the Epstein Class. They rape American little girls and they bomb and kill Iranian little girls."

Another post declaring “tit for tat,” stating that after a strike on Iran’s desalination plant on Qeshm Island, Iran responded by targeting similar USA facilities hosted by foreign countries from where US is also targeting Iran.

It further warns that it has the right to defend itself immediately.

“We are resolute in our determination to eradicate the menace of the Great Satan from our region once and for all,” one post read.

Another said: “The American pedophiles came to besiege us. We trapped them instead.”

One tweet about its operations read: “What the Great Satan had built over 70 years, we reduced to ashes in seven days,” alongside images purporting to show damage to a US base. The images have not been independently verified.

And then there was this gem: “Any updates on blanket and firewood prices in Europe?” A not so subtle jab at economic hits as energy resources take a hit due to the closure of strait of Hormuz.

On March 1, the account also posted: “We have closed the Strait of Hormuz until further notice. Let the Orange Pig open it if he can!”

One video tweeted shows a shower of bombs over Tel Aviv in occupied Palestine.

It also sheds light on Trump's time as president and its affect on the economy.

In yet another tweet, it shares a video of a surprise for Israeli settlers.

It commented on US-Ukraine communications too.

The account reminded its following of a quote by Imam Ali (A.S)

One tweet reminded people of the years of Iran being targeted incase its account is removed following X taking away the accounts blue tick mark.

Social media reaction has been predictably explosive. Supporters across Muslim majority countries are cheering the defiance while screenshots are flying across WhatsApp groups and other platforms like digital shrapnel.
