ISLAMABAD: According to astronomical data from SUPARCO, the new moon of Zil Hajj 1446 AH will be born on May 27, 2025, at 08:02 PST. At sunset that day, the moon’s age will be approximately 11 hours and 34 minutes.
Along Pakistan’s coastal areas, the time between sunset and moonset will be about 37 minutes, but the new moon will not be visible even with a telescope under ideal weather conditions.
As a result, the first day of Zil Hajj is expected to fall on May 29, making Eidul Azha likely to be celebrated on June 7 this year.
