Iranian interior minister meets PM Shehbaz in Islamabad
Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Tuesday, the PMO said. The visiting minister, who arrived on Monday night, is also expected to meet top Pakistani officials.

ISLAMABAD: Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House on Tuesday, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
The PMO said in a post on X that the meeting had commenced, but did not provide further details. Momeni arrived in Pakistan late Monday on an official visit and was received in Islamabad by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
He is accompanied by a high-level delegation. State-run Pakistan Television reported that the Iranian minister is also expected to meet Chief of Defence Staff and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir during his visit.
Earlier in the day, a police parade was held in Momeni’s honour in Islamabad, according to a post on the interior ministry’s X account. He was accompanied there by Minister of State for Interior Tallal Chaudhry.
