iPhone 18 Pro tipped to feature much smaller Dynamic Island

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to launch later this year with display upgrades and a redesigned Dynamic Island. A new leak has now revealed the precise dimensions of the smaller cutout planned for the Pro models.

According to well-known tipster Ice Universe, the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 Pro series will measure 13.49mm in width. This is a notable reduction compared to the current iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, which feature a cutout measuring 20.76mm.

The reduction amounts to roughly 35 percent, signaling a major design shift. Recent reports have suggested that Apple may place Face ID components beneath the display on the iPhone 18 Pro models, allowing for the smaller cutout.

The new Pro iPhones are also rumored to feature LTPO+ OLED displays, further improving efficiency and visual performance. In addition, the entire iPhone 18 lineup is expected to receive upgraded front-facing cameras, pointing to a broader focus on display and selfie enhancements in Apple’s next-generation smartphones.
