Zardari praises Poland for foundational role in PAF on Polish Independence Day

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday paid tribute to the historic role of Polish engineers, pilots, and technicians in establishing the Pakistan Air Force, marking their contribution as a lasting symbol of the bond between Pakistan and Poland.
Speaking on the occasion of Poland’s 107th Independence Day, President Zardari conveyed his warm congratulations to the people of the Republic of Poland.
He highlighted that diplomatic relations between the two countries, established in 1962, have been strengthened over the decades through mutual respect and ongoing cooperation.
The President noted that bilateral ties have expanded to include political dialogue, trade, investment, defence, education, and cultural exchange. He also emphasised the early assistance provided by Polish personnel, describing their pivotal role in Pakistan’s air defence as an enduring emblem of the friendship between the two nations.
President Zardari’s remarks underscore Pakistan’s recognition of Poland’s contributions to the nation’s defence capabilities and the long-standing partnership that continues to grow across multiple sectors.
