Plan finalised to bolster Islamabad’s security

ISLAMABAD: In response to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directive to transform Islamabad into a crime-free city and improve emergency response times, authorities have finalized a plan to enhance security. The plan includes the installation of CCTV cameras at all major entry and exit points and an increase in police patrolling throughout the capital.

A high-level meeting, chaired by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, took place at the CDA Headquarters. The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Member Administration & Estate Talat Mahmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Environment Asfandyar Baloch, Islamabad Police Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, and Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon.

The meeting reviewed the current security arrangements and unanimously resolved to make every effort to ensure that Islamabad becomes a fully secured and crime-free city.
