Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted rubbing elbows with influential figures at one of New York City’s most exclusive dining spots, the East Harlem eatery Rao’s. The actor dined alongside Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and entrepreneur Andrew Murstein, according to sources who spoke to Page Six.

The source revealed that DiCaprio was in high spirits, taking a dozen photos with fans and participating in multiple FaceTime video chats with excited customers’ families and friends. The VIP dinner, hosted by Murstein, also featured a star-studded guest list, including DiCaprio’s Wolf of Wall Street co-star Bo Dietl and ABC Radio’s Sid Rosenberg, as well as Leo’s father, George DiCaprio, and stepmother.

Blakeman, who has been pushing for Nassau County to be branded as “Hollywood East,” was overheard discussing the economic impact of the Grumman and Gold Coast Studios in Bethpage, which have brought over $533 million in economic growth. Interestingly, Blakeman’s push is linked to the filming of The Wolf of Wall Street, much of which was shot in Nassau County.
The evening also had its share of humor, with sources noting that while Blakeman’s first wife, Nancy Shevell, is now married to Paul McCartney, the jukebox at Rao’s played nothing but Sinatra hits—no Beatles tunes. Security was reportedly tight at the event, though the heavy presence was mostly for Blakeman, with five security personnel dedicated to him, rather than DiCaprio.
