Punjab’s transformation into a model province top priority: CM Maryam

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Sunday stated that it is the PML-N government’s mission to transform Punjab into a model province and change public life for the better, emphasizing that the education and financial independence of the youth are among her top priorities.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was talking with Members of the Provincial Assembly Muhammad Ahmad Khan Leghari and Naeem Akhtar Khan Bhabha, called on her at her office on Sunday. The meeting involved detailed discussions on ongoing welfare projects, resolving public issues, and developmental matters of the constituencies.

According to X information on Sunday, the assembly members praised the ongoing developmental and welfare projects in the province.

Naeem Akhtar Khan Bhabha thanked the Chief Minister for initiating the construction and expansion of the Multan-Vehari Road. The chief minister, upon his request, ordered the commencement of classes at Vehari Girls College.

The chief minister directed Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat to start classes at Vehari Girls College after the summer vacations. The chief minister also issued orders for a water scheme project in Kot Addu at the request of Muhammad Ahmad Leghari.

The assembly members remarked that Maryam Nawaz has won the hearts of the people through transparent governance and revolutionary measures in a short period. The Kisan Card, Minority Card, Ration Card, Himat Card, and Education Card were hailed as excellent initiatives for equitable participation in development.

CM’s Message on Global Day of Parents

“Parents are a cool shade in the harsh sun of life,” said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in her message on Global Day of Parents. She added, “Parents’ selfless love is a priceless asset of my life.” She highlighted, “Obedience to parents is the command of Allah Almighty, Sunnah of the holy Prophet (SAWQ), and an integral part of our Eastern tradition.”

The chief minister said, “Parents’ love and sacrifices for their children are part of human nature and instinct.” She added, “Without parents, a house is just a building of bricks and mortar, but with their presence, even a modest room becomes a paradise.” She underscored, “Parents are the foundation of every child’s success.”

CM Maryam said, “The position I am in today is the result of training and prayers of my kind parents.” She added, “I consider serving and obeying my parents an honor.”
