Senate committee reviews electronic voting system for overseas Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs met Thursday to discuss the feasibility and implementation of an electronic voting system, with a focus on enabling overseas Pakistanis to participate in elections securely and transparently.

Chaired by Senator Dr Mohammad Humayun Mohmand, the meeting emphasized the need to balance accessibility with the integrity and reliability of the electoral process.

The committee also examined the existing first-past-the-post (FPTP) system, considering potential reforms.
