ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday asked the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and information technology (IT) experts to submit a report regarding online voting system for overseas Pakistanis by May 15.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar, while hearing the case regarding granting voting rights to overseas Pakistanis, said that secrecy, safety and hacking would be the three key areas which must be considered by the IT experts so that the process of elections could not be disrupted in any way.
