LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora expressed heartfelt gratitude to the global Sikh community for its strong show of solidarity with Pakistan and its armed forces amid recent regional tensions.
In a statement on Monday, Arora praised the unity and ideological clarity exhibited by Sikhs worldwide, stating, “The Sikh nation has once again proven that it does not compromise on the principles of peace, brotherhood, and truth.”
He acknowledged the unwavering support of Sikhs in India, the United States, Canada, Europe, and Switzerland for Pakistan’s position, adding, “This is a historic message that truth knows no borders.”
Arora commended the resilience of the Sikh community, highlighting a song released by young Indian Sikhs as a powerful and conscience-stirring message that resonated globally. He also lauded the peaceful role played by international Sikh organizations, including the World Sikh Parliament, whose values of peace, tolerance, and equality continue to inspire humanity.
“The Sikh community in Pakistan stands firmly with the Constitution, the armed forces, and national institutions,” said Arora, affirming the community’s commitment to Pakistan. “We are not a minority; we are loyal citizens of Pakistan and stand shoulder to shoulder with our armed forces and nation during every trial,” he added.
The minister concluded by expressing pride in the Sikh community’s dignity, vision, and peaceful mission.
