LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, on Monday thanked the global Sikh community for its strong show of solidarity with Pakistan and its armed forces amid recent regional tensions.
In an official statement, Arora praised Sikhs around the world for standing by Pakistan’s principled stance and upholding the values of peace, unity, and justice.
“The Sikh nation has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the principles of truth, brotherhood, and peace,” the minister stated. “Their message is clear: truth transcends borders.”
Arora highlighted support from Sikh communities in India, the United States, Canada, various European countries, and Switzerland, describing it as a “historic moment of ideological clarity.”
Referring to recent events in Pahalgam, he said attempts by hostile actors to sow discord within the Sikh community had failed, and instead the global Sikh voice had emerged more united and resilient.
He cited a widely shared song by young Indian Sikhs containing the line “We cannot say Murdabad to Pakistan,” calling it a bold, conscience-awakening message that echoed across the globe.
Arora also commended the World Sikh Parliament and other international Sikh organizations for playing a constructive, peaceful role, noting that the teachings of Baba Guru Nanak continue to guide people toward coexistence and equality.
“The Sikh community in Pakistan stands firmly with the Constitution, with national institutions, and with our armed forces,” he said. “We are not a minority—we are proud and loyal citizens of Pakistan, standing shoulder to shoulder with our country in every hour of need.”
He concluded by expressing gratitude for the global Sikh community’s unity, dignity, and unwavering commitment to peace.
