Pakistan shuts Lahore airspace once again.

Pakistan civil aviation authority closes key air corridors for 24 hours due to heightened security concerns following Indian airstrikes.

LAHORE: The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has closed Lahore’s airspace to commercial traffic once again amid rising security concerns following Indian airstrikes. A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued late Wednesday confirmed the closure of three major air corridors — 139 J, 165 J, and 186 J — for a 24-hour period. This airspace restriction affects a wide range of domestic and international flights, forcing airlines to reroute or delay scheduled services.

The closure comes just hours after Pakistan had reopened its airspace over Lahore, following an earlier suspension due to heightened threat levels. While the Civil Aviation Authority had initially confirmed the resumption of normal flight operations, the situation remains fluid, and airlines have been advised to provide updates to passengers.

Passengers are urged to stay in contact with their airlines and monitor updates from the PCAA, as further changes to flight schedules are anticipated due to the ongoing escalation in the region.
