LOWER DIR: A head constable was martyred and an official was injured in terrorist attacks on police checkposts in Jamrud and Lower Dir areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
According to police, the terrorists attacked a checkpost of the police station in Jindol area of Lower Dir with hand grenades and other weapons. In the attack, head constable Siyasat Khan was martyred and an official was injured.
Police said terrorists also attacked the Sakhi Pul police post in Jamrud.
According to the police, terrorists also attacked Jamrud Tehsil Compound and the attackers threw grenades and opened fire in the Tehsil Compound, however, there was no loss of life in the attack.
Police officials say that various government offices including Jamrud police station are established in the Tehsil Compound.
