LAHORE: The Punjab School Education Department has announced latest school timings effective from August 15, 2024.
In a notification issued by the department, the revised schedule specifies that schools in Lahore will operate under the following timings:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
For institutions running on a double shift or afternoon shift basis, the timetable will be adjusted as follows:
- Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM
- Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM
On Fridays, these sessions will adhere to the same schedule as the regular school timings.
The notification also outlines the working hours for teachers. At regular schools, teachers will be present from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays and from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Fridays.
In double-shift schools, teachers will follow a schedule from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM for the morning shift and from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM for the evening shift during weekdays.
Summer vacations for Punjab’s schools are scheduled to conclude on August 14, with classes resuming on 15th of August.
