Except Mansehra, Sharif family members defeat opponents comfortably

ISLAMABAD: All members of the Sharif family won National Assembly seats from Lahore defeating their opponents except Nawaz Sharif who lost NA-15 Mansehra to PTI-backed independent candidate.

Following the conclusion of polling for general elections, the ECP has started issuing results of both the National and provincial assemblies.

According official results, PML-N Nawaz Sharif has won the seat of NA-130 Lahore by securing an impressive 171,024 votes.

Nawab Sharif grabbed 171,024 votes while Yasmin Rashid obtained 115,043 votes. The PML-N supremo defeated her by a margin of 55,981 votes.

Defeat by PTI backed independent candidate in Mansehra

PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif faced defeat against independent candidate Shahzada Gastasap in NA-15 Mansehra.

Unofficial reports from National Assembly Constituency NA-15 Mansehra revealed that Shahzada Gastasap secured victory with 74,713 votes, while Mian Nawaz Sharif garnered 63,054 votes.

PML-N President Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif won the election by securing 64,953 votes in Lahore’s NA-123 while his rival Afzal Azeem Pahat came second with 48,486 votes.

PML-N Senior Vice-President and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz Sharif also won his NA-119 seat by securing 83,855 votes while independent candidate Shahzad Farooq managed only 68,376 votes.

Shahzad Farooq, securing 68,376 votes, positioned himself as the runner-up in this constituency, awaiting the finalization of results. As the official confirmation is awaited, these preliminary outcomes provide a snapshot of the evolving political landscape in these constituencies.

Another scion of the Sharif family, Hamza Shehbaz Sharif also won the elections from NA-118 by securing 105,960 votes. PTI-backed Independent candidate Aliya Hamza came second with 100,803 votes.
