RAWALPINDI: Executive Director Punjab Council of the Art Syed Bilal Haider (PAC) on Tuesday called Chinese Cultural Consul Zhang Heqing and discussed with him issues related promoting art and culture.
The meeting was part of historic initiatives of the Executive Director PAC for the recognition of Punjab’s culture at the international level for the first time.
Speaking during the meeting, Syed Bilal Haider suggested visits of cultural delegations, students, artisans, entrepreneurs and people from various sectors from both sides for stronger cultural ties between the two countries.
Zhang Heqing welcomed all the suggestions of Syed Bilal Haider and announced to take immediate action in this regard.
The Executive Director Punjab Arts Council and the Chinese Ambassador also discussed the organization of a two-day Pak-China Festival in Lahore, in which artists from both countries will showcase their art. The culture of both the countries will also be combined in the festival. Syed Bilal Haider also presented a souvenir to the Chinese Cultural Consul.
