Nawaz Sharif launches PML-N’s AJK election campaign in Muzaffarabad

MUZAFFARABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday formally launched his party’s election campaign in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) by addressing supporters in Muzaffarabad, the regional capital.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz accompanied him at the event, which marked the party’s public start to campaigning for the upcoming AJK polls.

During his address, Nawaz said he was among the people of Muzaffarabad after several years and expressed affection for the people of Kashmir.

The party had earlier announced its candidates for 37 of the 45 constituencies of the AJK Legislative Assembly on June 20.
