UK Pakistan Business Council throws birthday bash for Sahibzada Jahangir

LONDON: A birthday reception was hosted here for Sahibzada Jahangir, Advisor to PM Imran Khan on Trade & Investment in the UK & Europe, by UK Pakistan Business Council at Royal Nawab.

Sahibzada Jahangir has turned 75. The Dinner was attended by over 500 guests who had travelled from all over the UK to attend.

Glorifying tributes were paid to the Sahibzada at the gala dinner attended by former minister Syed Zulfi Bukhari, Pakistan’s High Commissioner Moazzam Khan, UK property tycoon Aneel Mussarat, among others.

Ambassador Moazzam Khan, in his speech said that Sahibzada Jahangir is a hugely popular and respected leader who the Pakistani community in the UK trust and respect for his honesty, humbleness and services to the them.

Aneel Mussarat, UK property tycoon, said, “The biggest gift Imran Khan has given to me was introduction to Sahibzada Sahab whom we all call Chico bhai,”.

Mussarat said that Sahibzada is a fatherly figure, best friend and a mentor.

“Each day I have so much to learn from his wisdom and experience. He is an extremely humble loving man. I have travelled the world with him. Would not let a poor pass by without helping him. His loyalty to Imran khan is impeccable and unprecedented. He is just a loving soul. A true living legend,” he added.

Zulfi Bokhari who is on a visit to UK said that Chico Uncle’s loyalty to Imran and services to the community are unmatched.

“He is a valuable asset of PTI,” he added.

Both sons of Sahibzada called their father an inspiration for all. Joking about his health, they said that he at this age was doing what they can’t at their age.

His granddaughter Sirine Jahangir, 16, who was semi finalist in “Britain Got Talent” said that her grandfather is the most loving man on the planet.

Sirine, who lost eyesight at the age of 8, said Sahibzada was responsible for injecting in her “never give up spirit”.

Present on the occasion was entire PTI UK leadership including Rana Sattar, President PTI UK National Body and Aslam Bhutta, Secretary General among others.

Bhutta called Sahibzada not only the guardian of the party but of all the community of UK. Nasir Mir, Deputy Secretary of PTI OIC termed him as an University where there is so much to learn.

Business community leaders, Lord Mayors, Parliamentarians, Pakistan High Commissioner were also present including Lord Zameer Choudhry, Chairman of Bestway PLC, Asif Rangoonwala, Chairman, Pakistan British Foundation, Judge Ahmad Nadeem, Iftikhar Majeed, Chairman of Pin Property Group and other dignitaries.

Cake cutting ceremonies took place in the many cities of the UK and Europe and today Sahibzada Jahangir’s birthday was celebrated in Lahore at Punjab Overseas Commission head-office and cake was cut by Makhdoom Tahirul Hasan, Special Assistant to PM on Overseas and Dr Shahid Hussain, Vice Chairman of OPC.
