ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the government has introduced a comprehensive reform programme in the health sector.
Chairing a meeting regarding development projects in the health sector in Punjab, the prime minister said the masses have to face immense difficulties during the coronavirus pandemic due to negligence of the past regimes who failed to accord due priority to the health sector.
The premier directed for utilisation of all available resources for timely completion of the health projects. He further directed for taking immediate measures for provision of quality health facilities and sanitation in all major hospitals of the province.
PM Imran appreciated the provision of insurance to the people under the Sehat Sahulat programme. He directed for preparation of a comprehensive plan for upgradation of capacities of the health centers and hospitals.
He also directed for strict implementation of all precautionary measures and standard operating procedures.
