KARACHI: A man was arrested by security personnel on Wednesday for allegedly molesting a disabled girl in Karachi’s Landhi Majeed Colony.
According to reports, the accused broke into the victim’s house while her parents had gone out to drop her siblings off to school.
However, the parents arrived in time to rescue their daughter and alert the neighbours who in turn informed rangers officials who were patrolling the neighborhood, reports added.
The accused was handed over to Quaidabad police for further investigation.
Earlier on November 27, in a ghastly incident at a Karachi hospital, a ward boy attempted to sexually assault a disabled woman.
The incident occurred at a private hospital where the victim had been admitted after falling ill and was being kept under observation.
A report was registered at the local police station and the accused was subsequently arrested and is currently behind bars.
According to law enforcement officials, the suspect confessed during investigation.
