LAHORE: A man allegedly killed his wife over a domestic dispute in Lahore on Monday.
As per police, Ali Raza shot her wife, Zinera, dead outside their residence in Guldasht Town after they got into a verbal spat.
After receiving a call about the incident, a police team reached the spot and started collected evidence. Later, the body was shifted to a morgue.
Police said that they have a launched a hunt to arrest the suspects, who fled the scene.
In September, a woman was severely tortured by her husband and in-laws in the Shahdara Town area of Lahore after her parents failed to fulfil their demand for a motorcycle.
In another incident happened in the same month, a woman with the help of her son strangled her husband to death over a family dispute in Lahore’s Shadbagh area. Police have arrested both the mother and son for the murder.
Earlier in July this year, police apprehended a man who threw acid on her wife during a domestic fight in Lahore.
He was arrested during a raid conducted on the complaint of acid attack occurred in Shahdara neighbourhood of the provincial capital of Punjab.
