A man on Saturday murdered his 22-year-old sister in yet another incident of ‘honour killing’ in Karachi.
According to police, the suspect — identified as Murtaza — shot Fatima Bibi in the neck and managed to escape the crime scene. The woman died on the spot.
The suspect also tried to kill a man, Sheez Khan, at a nearby shop. However, the man survived the shooting and received bullets in his leg.
Police recovered 30-bore pistol shells from the site of the incident. Raids were being conducted to arrest the suspect who has gone into hiding.
