A nine-year-old boy killed his sister on Tuesday night allegedly over a domestic dispute, police said.
According to reports, Ali Hassan allegedly shot down his Kausar, 12, in Birbal Sharif village near Sargodha. He is reportedly on the run with his father.
A first information report (FIR) was registered on behalf of Nasar Hayat, the deceased’s paternal uncle. The FIR says Ali killed his sister over a marriage dispute. A search was subsequently underway for the father-son duo, police added.
The deceased girl’s mother had earlier claimed that her son had fired the gun accidentally which caused Kausar’s death. On the other hand, a police investigation later revealed that the deceased girl’s parents had a dispute over her marriage proposal which caused her mother to leave the house and go to her parents’ home, reports added.
The deceased minor has been laid to rest.
