RTP to launch operation against substandard cylinders in school vans

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Traffic Police (RTP) has decided to launch an operation against poor quality compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinders that are fitted in the vans utilised for picking and dropping children of various educational institutions as well as a public service transport.

The RTP said that drivers and owners should attain fitness certificates of cylinders fitted in their vehicles after getting them checked from the related department, whereas a strict action would be taken against the violators with registering a first information report (FIR) cases against them in case of any violation.
