KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other respondents to file comments on a petition filed by the incarcerated Omni Group chief Anwar Majeed within two months i.e. January 19, 2019.
In his petition, Majeed, a close aide of former president Asif Ali Zardari, had moved the court against the alleged harassment by the FIA, claiming that the agency had registered false cases against him and his family on the basis of an inquiry pertaining to a multi-billion money laundering scam.
As a two-member bench of the SHC heard the petition, the FIA officials sought more time for submitting an answer.
The petitioner had asked the court that the details of the cases pending against him be provided to him and the FIA should be stopped from harassing him.
