PESHAWAR: In an exchange of fire between two groups over a dispute, former deputy mayor of Peshawar’s Nothia union council, Sher Ali, and two others were killed on Monday.

The bodies have been shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities, according to police officials in Nothia.

The dispute escalated between the former mayor and his relatives on Sunday night over a minor argument. A passerby who has now been shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital was also injured during the incident.

A first information report (FIR) over the matter has not been registered yet.
