Two killed, 5 injured over land dispute

SWAT: Two persons were killed and five others sustained gunshot wounds in an exchange of fire between two groups over a land dispute in Lelonai village of Shangla district here on Sunday.

According to DSP Alpurai Circle Amjad Ali, the incident took place in Leloni village where two groups indulged in crossfire. Resultantly, Mufti Shafiq was killed on the spot, while three others including: Noorullah, Ata Muhammad and Omar Bacha sustained gunshot wounds from one. Similarly, Aleemullah of another group was killed and his brother Shehryar got injured in the exchange of fire.

The DSP informed there was a land dispute between the parties.

“The bodies and injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Alpoori and two critically injured have been referred to Saidu Sharif Hospital as their condition is critical.” DSP Amjad confirmed.

DSP Amjad said that the police reached the spot and made arrests from both sides and heavy weapons were also recovered from their possession.
