LAHORE: A Station House Officer (SHO) was killed in Sheikhupura in a shooting attack on his car on Monday.
The officer, identified as Zahid Mehmood, was the SHO at Lahore’s Rang Mahal Police Station and was travelling to the provincial capital via GT Road when the attack occurred.
Mehmood’s driver and security guard were killed on the spot while the SHO succumbed to his injuries while being taken to hospital.
“Inspector Mehmood was en route from his residence in Muridke to Lahore when he came under attack,” said the police
“Unknown assailants fired at his car and fled.”
The police have initiated investigations into the attack.
