KARACHI: Two suspected robbers were killed in alleged police encounter in Korangi area of the city on Monday.
According to police sources, two robbers were fleeing after a looting a citizen in Korangi’s Chamra Chowringi area. Receiving information a police team chased them on which the robbers opened fire. However, in retaliatory firing, the robbers suffered bullet injuries and died on the spot.
Police recovered weapons, snatched valuables and motorbike from the spot. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
Separately, Sindh Rangers arrested two criminals from SITE Superhighway and Saudabad areas. The arrested accused were said to be involved in several crimes.
