Hamza Shehbaz vows to investigate electoral rigging

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said that his party will not allow Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) a free hand in Punjab and investigate electoral rigging.

While speaking during his party’s parliamentary meeting, the PML-N leader said that his party is aware of how to exercise its democratic right and will not shy away from doing so.

“There should be an end to the exercise of stealing public mandate. People want accountability of vote theft,” he said.

Hamza said that the party does not want to disrupt democracy in the country but it will not back down from its demand for investigations regarding the electoral rigging.

Both PTI nominee Usman Buzdar and Hamza Shehbaz have submitted their papers for the post of Punjab chief minister (CM).
