Christian cemetery walls in Karachi to be rebuilt by Minority Affairs Department

Minority Affairs Department was directed by the Sindh caretaker minister for minority affairs to rebuild a boundary wall around Gora Qabristan, a century-old Christian cemetery, according to a local media outlet.

The wall was demolished by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) on the orders of the Supreme Court (SC) in a case pertaining to the removal of hoardings and billboards. The cemetery remained without a wall for two months leading to disrespect of graves and security issues.

The caretaker minister was informed that the project would cost Rs50 million.
