Progress to be made on Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline, says Mandviwalla

ISLAMABAD: Senate Acting Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla said on Tuesday that Pakistan was interested to see quick progress regarding the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline.

He also said that the project would be pursued by the government because it was in the interests of the country.

Speaking to Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Hunardost at the Parliament House, the acting chairman said that there was a need to increase the volume of investment and trade between Pakistan and Iran.

Moreover, Senator Mandviwalla also emphasised the need to restart the Pakistan-Iran Investment Company (PIIC).
