ISLAMABAD: A week-long fresh rain spell began across the country on Sunday, reported Radio Pakistan.
The Met Office spokesman said that a shallow westerly wave has entered Pakistan.
He said that rain-thundershowers with gusty winds are expected at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Islamabad, Upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and at isolated places in northeast-Balochistan and southern Punjab during the next six days.
The spokesmen said there is also a high risk of landslides in mountainous and sub-mountainous areas of KP, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during this period.
